Chordata & Ko. Wildlife Shelter is a completely volunteer run shelter; majority of funding comes directly from the volunteer shelter operator, and so generous donations from the public are always a huge assistance!

This being said, Chordata & Ko. has devised a subscription plan that can help alleviate some of the cost associated with caring for our wildlife. Cost involved in rescue, rehabilitation and release can be in excess of $500 for some species. These cost include their housing and bedding, their food including specialised milk formulas that are age and species specific, heating units for joeys, and release implements such as dreys for ringtail possums and possum boxes for brushtail possums; just to name a few.

A monthly subscription of $10 can assist in alleviating some of these cost involved in wildlife husbandry.This $10 will help reduce the cost of care, and will make a substantial difference in the lives of the wildlife here at Chordata & Ko. Wildlife Shelter.
